Basic Property:
As a kind of compound refractory material, this nitride has silicon nitride with a content of 75%-80% and free iron with a content of 12%-17%. It has the performances of low thermal expansion coefficient, good thermal conductivity, split resistance and corrosion resistance. It also has good durability, low consumption coefficient and easy founding on furnace taphole.
Use:
1)Ferro Silicon Nitride is an indispensable raw material of taphole clay. Moreover, as nitrogen additive, it can be applied to steel making and abrasives, etc.
2)Taphole clay is usually used in furnace taphole to protect taphole-lined brick. In order to keep stable taphole time and taphole depth, it can assure clients the normal operation on furnace even in the severe condition of high temperature and high iron-yielding, etc.
3)Except conventionally used synthetical taphole clay and resin taphole clay, mixed taphole clay made from Ferro Silicon Nitride has all advantages of taphole clay and can be used in different environments.
